This section refers to the registration of your domain name, or, put simply the actual address people type into their computer to get your website!
The domain registration process is a fairly simple process. For
'Australian' (which are .com.au and .net.au) domain names, like
www.yourname.com.au or www.yourname.net.au, the AU Domain
Authority has a list of rules for eligibility of an Australian
domain name -
see here!
For .com or .net domain names,
there is no restrictions or rules that govern the registration, other
than it must already not be reserved.
Registering a domain name is like
registering your car every 12 months, you pay initial registration, then
we send you a renewal at the end of each 12 month period.

Please
note:
One of our most common questions asked is why are we not a
accredited registrar of the Australian Domain Authority
(auDA) group. YourName.net.au does not deal in the number of
.AU domain name registrations to make it economically viable
to be a direct registrar of auDA, however, their registrar
policy allows registrars to have accredited resellers.
YourName.net.au is a accredited reseller of domain name
registration services of an auDA accredited registrar, who
is based in Australia, and who deals in such large volumes
of .AU domain name registrations that enables us to offer
our very low priced services – so low in fact it makes us
one of the cheapest domain name resellers in Australia!
